I lead the development team at Floor Giants: three Magento stores, an Odoo integration and the tools around them. I set the technical direction, design how the systems fit together and still write code.
Nuxt · Progressive web app
We're rebuilding the storefront as a progressive web app in Nuxt. I'm leading the rebuild, with the development team handling most of the implementation. I stay hands-on with the key technical work.
The project is in its early stages. Alongside it, I run development across the existing stores, including automated testing, releases and the integrations they depend on.
People had already chosen their flooring. Then the checkout made them wait. I set the priorities from the data; the team worked through the bottlenecks, one change at a time.
LCP went from 5.8s to 1.6s. Reported conversion uplift was 20–30%, depending on the week and attribution.

I chose a custom Magento theme the team could read end to end. They rebuilt it template by template, with staged releases and rehearsed rollbacks.
Traffic up 31%, bounce rate down 40% after launch. The trading calendar contributed too.

I set the technical direction across the stores, their integrations and the tools around them. That means deciding where responsibilities sit, how data moves and how the team can change one part without breaking another.
With Magento, Odoo and internal tools in the mix, the useful questions are concrete: which system owns the data, what needs to happen immediately, and what happens when an integration is slow or unavailable? Those decisions shape the APIs and the work the team takes on.
On the checkout work, I set the priorities from the measurements. The team removed repeated fetches and took blocking calls out of the render path. We released and measured each change separately, so we could see what actually helped.
I weigh technical choices against the team's capacity to build and maintain them. Testing, release order and rollback belong in the design discussion. The Nuxt rebuild is still early; it sits alongside responsibility for stores that need to keep trading.

I hire, hold the 1:1s, plan the next few weeks and make the architecture calls. The developers build the features. I review every pull request before it merges, and still write code, mostly the awkward fixes nobody wants.
A pull request is ready when the next developer can read it without asking the author. That matters more to me than a clever implementation.
I started in support and infrastructure, building trading environments on a contract at Goldman Sachs in 2018. I moved into Magento development at We Are JH in Nottingham, then joined Floor Giants in March 2025 to run the team.
Alongside that, I've looked after technology and data protection for Hilton Supported Living since June 2019. It's a part-time role I still hold.

I looked after client Magento 2 estates, built headless Magento and PWA projects with custom GraphQL, Redis, Elasticsearch and Docker, and built a security patch pipeline that ran end to end in under two hours.
I set up Azure storage and mail, wrote internal tooling in TypeScript, Python and .NET, integrated Salesforce Service Cloud and Health Cloud, and act as DPO.
I built and deployed Windows virtualised trading environments and did second line support from April to September.
