I am the Head of Development at Floor Giants, a flooring retailer in Derby that sells wood, laminate, vinyl and carpet online and through showrooms. I run the development team across three Magento stores: the main Floor Giants site, UK Discount Flooring and Evergreen, which serves trade customers.
The backend work is Magento 2, PHP and the integrations around it, including Odoo for the ERP. Two stores run 2.4.7 on PHP 8.2 and one runs 2.4.8 on PHP 8.3. We use Warden for local environments and Deployer on two of the stores. Automated CI and testing are in place across all three stores. Since March 2025 the team has relaunched one store on a custom theme and launched a new one. On one checkout we took LCP from 5.8 seconds to 1.6. Do you handle third party integrations?
Yes. ERP, fulfilment and marketing integrations are a large part of what the team maintains, with fault handling and monitoring built in.
Do you offer lead level ownership or just implementation?
Lead level ownership. I plan, review and carry the release. Implementation is done by the team, and in advisory work by yours.
